Is Sparrow a wallet?
No. Sparrow is a read-only tracker. It only reads public blockchain data for the addresses you add. It can't send, receive, swap or store crypto.
Do I need an account or API key?
No account is needed. Sparrow works out of the box. You can optionally add your own free Etherscan or CoinGecko Demo key in Settings for faster refreshes.
How do I add, edit or remove a wallet?
Use “Add Wallet” in the sidebar. To edit or remove one, open Portfolios and double-click the wallet, or use the “Wallets” menu in the Portfolio header.
A balance looks wrong or a network shows a warning.
Data comes from public blockchain services that sometimes rate-limit or go down briefly. Click Refresh (⌘R) after a minute. If it persists, email us the network name and what you expected to see. Please don't send private keys or seed phrases. We will never ask for them.
How do I delete all my data?
Open Settings › Reset App. It erases portfolios, wallets, cached data, preferences and saved API keys from your Mac. Uninstalling the app removes everything too.
Is the tax summary financial advice?
No. It's an estimate based on on-chain data to help you prepare. Always check with a qualified tax professional.
