Privacy Policy
Sparrow is a read-only portfolio tracker. It never asks for, stores or transmits private keys, seed phrases or exchange credentials, and it cannot move funds.
Data stored on your Mac
- Portfolio names, wallet labels and the public wallet addresses you add, stored in the app's sandbox container.
- Preferences (currency, refresh interval, tax settings), stored in the app's local preferences.
- Optional API keys you enter (Etherscan, CoinGecko Demo), stored in the macOS Keychain.
- Cached market and blockchain responses, stored in the app's cache folder.
The developer operates no servers, collects no analytics and never receives any of this data.
Data sent to third-party services
To show balances and prices, Sparrow sends requests directly from your Mac to:
- CoinGecko: coin identifiers and your display currency. Privacy policy
- Alchemy, Etherscan, Blockscout, Routescan and public RPC nodes: the public EVM addresses you add. Alchemy · Etherscan
- mempool.space and Blockstream: the public Bitcoin addresses you add. mempool.space · Blockstream
These providers may log requests (including your IP address) under their own policies. Public addresses are visible on their blockchains by nature.
Tracking
Sparrow does not track you across apps or websites and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
Children
Sparrow is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personal information.
Deletion
Removing a wallet or portfolio deletes it from the app. Settings › Reset App erases everything, including saved keys. Uninstalling the app removes its container.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
